And why shouldn’t I? Because you have a cousin of a cousin who is mentally challenged and that word offends you? Not being insensitive in any way, but it is not my problem that you’re so dull hearted that you take offense to a statement that does not pertain to a mentally challenged person. I have family who is mentally challenged too, and not once have I ever taken offense to someone saying “that’s retarded.” because I don’t relate the affected people I know to the word “retarded” in the sense that an average, everyday person would use it. We all know it’s not meant in that way, and most of us do not say it in that way, pertaining to an actual person that is mentally challenged. So shut up and stop crying about ever goddamn little thing. If I get another comment from this stupid girl I’m going to flip.
